Playoff invites for Pinnacle Winter Series 2 announced

BIG, Entropiq, GODSENT and MIBR join the event for the playoff bracket.

The direct playoff invites for the Pinnacle Winter Series 2 were announced today, with a number of top 20 teams joining the fray; Entropiq, BIG, GODSENT and MIBR all come into the event fresh off competing at the IEM Katowice play-in, and are seeded into the quarter-finals.

Entropiq join as the top-ranked team.

The first round of the playoffs features the eight teams that made it through the best-of-three Swiss group stage, with K23 and Eternal Fire some of the bigger names involved.

Noticeably absent are runners up of the previous Pinnacle event Apeks and Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David's 00NATION, who both failed to make it through the Swiss portion.

Not only is the lion's share of a $68,000 prize pool on the line but also a spot at LAN Sweet LAN 2022, an offline event featuring a massive $250,000 prize pool that is set to take place August 15 in Belgrade, Serbia; top names like Virtus.pro, OG and MOUZ are already amongst the team list for said event.
